A clear path through treacherous terrain…

In 2013 after years of recurrent injuries, chronic joint pain and paying for quick fixes, I stumbled upon a knowledgeable personal trainer and massage therapist. They didn’t offer me a quick fix, but instead helped me to slowly build a toolbox of movement and manual therapy skills that allowed me to take control of my physical health and gain confidence in my body’s innate ability to heal itself. Most importantly they taught me to view injury as opportunity and understand that setbacks can became productive paths of exploration into ways I could improve, get stronger and leverage the inherent adaptability of my body.

This experience sparked a fascination with human movement and our seemingly endless potential to adapt. I read every book I could get my hands on and took every class I could afford. In 2015 I got certified as a Strength and Conditioning Coach and licensed as a Massage Therapist. I’ve been working full time as a Strength Coach and Therapist ever since and have over 10,000 sessions under my belt helping people of all backgrounds and abilities get stronger, move better and realize their potential.

My goal as a trainer and therapist for all my clients is first and foremost to help them understand that they don’t need a personal trainer or massage therapist. They need a movement toolbox and the proper mindset to effectively apply the tools. The path forward is one in which we have the confidence and courage to take responsibility for our own health.

In my free time, when I’m not trying to solve the human movement puzzle, I play upright bass in a bad ass country band and make every attempt to catch live music in the wonderful city of Austin TX.
