Manual + Movement Therapy

FAQ

  • I’m a lifelong learner and overtime have become something of a mutt! I will list my licenses and certifications below but something I’ve come to realize over the years is that no single thought process, rationale or technique is the answer for every person. One person’s history, expectations, beliefs and anatomy is guaranteed to be different from the next person’s. Principles over acronyms. With that said, here are a few of my favorite courses that have influenced my thought process…

    • Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT)

    • Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)

    • Anatomy Trains Structural Integration (ATSI)

    • Zac Cupples Human Matrix

    • Postural Restoration Institute (Myokinematic Restoration / Postural Respiration)

    • Russian Kettlebell Certified (RKC)

    • Certified Neuromuscular Therapist (CNMT)

    • Functional Range Systems (FRC / FRA / FR)

    • Certified Orthopedic Massage Therapist (COMT)

  • A typical manual + movement therapy session will consist of:

    • An evaluation process where we discuss your history and look at your primary area of concern as well as your movement patterns and general range of motion.

    • Hands on work intertwined with movement both on and off the table.

    • A home exercise program of a few high value movements that will help lock in any improvements gained during the session.

  • We will utilize a variety of positions and movements both on and off the table during the session. Clothing that both allows you to move around comfortably and also provides access for hands on techniques is preferred. For males this is generally athletic shorts and for females this is generally athletic shorts and a tank top or sports bra. Cotton is the preferred fabric as it is easier to work with.

  • Each session is $130 and is usually 60-75 minutes.
